Why We Were Founded

The physicians of University Cancer & Blood Center, LLC founded The Cancer Foundation in 2005 after treating a growing number of patients in need of financial assistance. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, the entire family suffers, not just emotionally, but also financially. Thus, the Financial Assistance Program helps alleviate a cancer patient’s immediate financial crisis and the debilitating stress that stems from their diagnosis. The Cancer Foundation wants to improve the quality of life for cancer patients living in our community.
